Rolf H. Koehler, is General Manager of Freudenberg Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (a China holding company which operates as corporate service center for the group’s companies). During his past 25 years business practice in Asia he has led Freudenberg companies in China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan and India in various roles from Board Chairman, General Manager, Regional Business Manager and Regional HR Director and influenced the business development of this company in Asia.

Mr. Koehler is “Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur” by education and an active, outspoken participant in the German business community in Shanghai. For the past years he has been leading the HR workshops of the AHK Shanghai and since 2010 he was elected as a board member of the German Chamber of Commerce/Shanghai.

Through his previous role as HR Director in China he has implemented well recognized employee development and motivation programs and set up a corporate HR structure for Greater China. He looks at HR as a decisive business tool for success or failure in China, much more than in other regions. Leadership and communication are in his focus. As a “hands-on practitioners” and senior business leader he displays a distinct people-orientated style and a heart for China.  Recently, he has been intensifying his role as coach and business advisor.
